Grit for the small birds you mention use the real fine type: too small for Pheasants.
Ask your feed store for size #2.

Posted picture for you. When you put your curser over the picture (in photo bucket) in the drop down box will be 4 links. The bottom one is the one you want (img). You left click it (turns blue) then right click it (even if it says "copied") and choose copy.
When posting it here (or any forum) righ click, then choose "paste".
Do not type or post more than one picture code in a line.
One picture code per line.

Looks like it has oyster shell in it ? Pheasants do not need it out of breeding season. Even in breeding season, if they have a proper diet, they do not need it.
Rock size is hard to tell for sure. Might be a bit on the small size ?
