Post by: chrisarvor on June 14, 2013, 03:00:37 PM
I live in Bulgaria and we get really cold winter upto -38C some years
I am starting to get Mountain quail ,
Will I need to give them heat in winter?
I have Californian and they survive ok

If the California`s are making it the Mt. should do well also. Just keep the drafts off of them..and have a place that they can get in out of the weather when they need to...their choice...

My son lives where there are wild Mt Quail and it gets down in the 20`s at times. He was out quail hunting last weekend and jumped a covey of them and got a couple. He said that they were great eating..That would be quite a trophy in my book..
