It's funny as to how much cash that free stuff can cost a fella.    :-|

It's been a day or two since my auto mechanicing days, but if I remember correctly, the oil pressure sending unit/oil gauge line is in the back of that engine next to the intake manifold.........have seen them leak like a Toyota too.      Sounds as if you need a couple cans of engine degreaser to clean that baby up in order to isolate the oil leak.  You better get at it while it's warm out!

Warm is next July !

I didn't have my coveralls on, so I didn't get carried away with looking for the leak yet.
Good thought about the oil sending unit though ! But would I be so lucky ?
Because it was free, it's likely the rear main - means pulling the engine.....do you know if my 350 will bolt up in there ?  s020

s176 That's what I forgot. No wonder I couldn't stop that old Nova. Stopped good when It hit the wall! Broke real good. No oil leaks though.

.....do you know if my 350 will bolt up in there ?

It sure will!  Those 6 cyclinders are nothing but a chopped off small block (305,350,400,etc.)!   Since inner fenders are already rusted, you won't have to modify them to change sparkplugs and to accomadate the 2" exhaust headers.   There has been a many of them done.  I've got a 400 turbo transmission for sale that would really turn that baby on!!!!!!!!   You'd feel like you just got shot out of the end of a shotgun!    :-o

No tree farm ! In fact, I have to put up fence to keep Beaver away from the tree line I'm planting !
In 60 years the place will look GREAT for that owner !

I have enough area I want to plant with Spruce, for at least 10,000 trees !

You sure this classify's as a "freebie"?       spider

Sounds like getting rid of the truck is going to be alot of work?    ^-^  Probably alot cheaper and a lot less work to keep the truck and throw money at it?    :-|

I need trees more than another truck !
Besides, the pole barn is now full. There is barely enough room to walk in there ! In fact, to get to one end I have to walk on top of stuff !

And yes, it's classified as free.....no matter how much I spend !
