when is it time to put chick in brooder after they hatch. after they are dry or after 24 hours i have had one hatch today the 17th

Personally I wouldn't open the hatcher/incubator more frequently than once every 24 hours to remove DRY chicks.  The moisture loss caused by opening the hatcher/incubator to remove one chick may cause several to not make it out of the shell. That's just my 2 cents worth.

chicks can stay in incubator after they hatch for up to 24 hours..after that they'll need water and food...
