I know chickens lay eggs no matter what. But i have Cortnuix quail eggs, and was woundering if this type of quail only lays eggs when it has mated with the male or does this bird lay daily no matter what?

Hi Chris,

Coturnix Quail will lay eggs without a male in the pen.
Ummm.. Basically, all Girl birds will lay eggs regardless of whether or not they have a boy bird to put up with. If you want baby birds you have to have Girl birds and boy birds together.
