My brand new Hovabator will not maintain a constant 100 degree temperature. Temperature always varies between 98 and 101, depending on room teperature.
I constantly have to be mononitering temperature.
Is this normal for this brand of incubator or is it the type of incubator?

You are shooting for an "average" temp.  I agree that a swing of 3 degrees is a little wide but still certainly within my margin of error. Is there a heating/ac vent blowing on the unit? One of the downsides to those foam incubators is that they are VERY reactive to drafts or room temp changes.  Perhaps stick it in a closet where it's subjected to a more constant surrounding temp. Again, certainly within my acceptable range for incubating.

Good luck,

Yes 98-101 is a great range. Keep in room with stable temps.

The Hova-bator models that come with eletronic thermostat will regulate itself around 99F.

yeah mine would always go from 98 to 100 but I still had a great hatch rate.  I just got sick of watchin it just left it alone and it was all right.  Just dont let it go under 98
