nipple waters for chukars

I am building a waterer for my chukar out of one of the plastic tubs with lid that you can get at walmart. When I build the stand for the tub, how high should I set the nipples from the floor? I tried a search but not find what i was looking for.

That depends on how old ur birds are...If they are adults then put them about 2 inches over there head..
