released some of the Chukars today.  They are very wild.  Can't get close to them.  They definitely need a larger flight cage.  They all took off with some crashing into the window of the house, a thud when 1 flew into the side of the truck and a laugh when landed and couldn't put the brakes on and fell into the cattle guard.  The group split up all over the place.  Found 2 against a rock wall.  Never saw them until they flew.  Juvenile coloration is perfect camouflage.  At what age do they color out?  They are 6 weeks old now.
