Has any one had this problem?  I've lost 3 quail chicks this weak with the top beak broke off.

Maybe the other quail are pecking them
  Some of mine use to do that

I've seen them peck..then bleed, but never broken from pecking.  I'd guess that they are slamming/flying into pen/cage if they are broken.

thanks for oppions  my thought was they were slamming into the brooder wall and breaking them.  i just made a new brooder out of an old icecream freezer so i believe they are just running into the walls and breaking them  havent lost anymore sense they are older and wiser now
