breeding snowflake quail

i currently have snowflake bobs in a battery setup and was wondering can i keep California quail in this kinda setup and will they lay in the winter cause i have light in the quail  building  ... anyone have any idea thanks

HI, YOU CAN KEEP THE VALLEYS IN THE SAME TYPE OF PEN BUT YOU DONT WANT TO PUT LIGHT ON THEM UNTELL AROUND APRIL BECOUSE YOU WILL GET THE HENS LAYING BUT THE MALE WILL NOT BE BREEDING THEM AND THE EGGS WILL NOT BE  ANYGOOD. SOME TIMES ON THE BOB WHITE IT WILL WORK BUT IN THE PAST I FOUND OUT WITH  THE VALLEYS, GAMBLES, BLUE SCALES IT WILL NOT WORK . HARVEY

hi i have gambells and i  use to have them in the same pens as the bobs, but i have the same problem whith the fertility, my rate is verry low this year im gone to try to breed them in colony this week im gone a turn the lites on them. about 16 hrs daily.

so your gambels have started laying  i have mine in the battery 3 section kind did you have them in that set ...what i did is i took the sections out and just put a pr in the whole thing i hope that will work out better

I have the Valley in this setup except picture is my snowflake but the top cage i took the dividers out and have just one pr to the cage like this one

let me take some pics of the pens and up load them, mi pens are 90cmts long x 6ocmts wide and 35 cmts tall. and they aresplit in 2 secctions.
the feed i use is 28% protein
