Hi Everyone, I have several adult Coturnix (7 months old) in otherwise good health that have started to develop severe swelling in their breasts. I can remove several cc's of lightly cloudy fluid from these areas of edema from just under the skin of the breast with a syringe and needle. So far the birds are still laying and remain active without any noticable weight loss. If I drain an area, it will re-fill over the course of a couple of days. Nothing new with feed or water intake. Can't come up with any plausible diseases when I search the Merck Vet Index or Mississippi State web pages. Anybody seen this in their Coturnix before? All suggestions welcome! Thanks!
