High winds woke me up this morning. Temps 49* light rain and winds WSW 25mph sustained and gusts up to 45 so far. Sounds like a freight train going through the pines.

Reeves, if you get the AB weather link, email me. I would like to see the weather up there.

It's here now, power line poles broken off all over the county. Temperature dropped 20*F in last 2 hours. Went from 52* down to 32* at the moment. Suppose to hit 21*F by daylight.

In less then a 1/2 hour the temps went from 49* to 37* with the winds still maxing out at 25mph.

I am will to bet $$$$ to donuts that I will have some pine trees down with this wind and the rains we had due to ground saturation. The worst part about the down trees, they always seem to fall right on the path, or lean over it.

Reeves,

I got the link and added it to my favorites. What is the altitude where you are at.

They say where we are located I am 800 feet above sea level.

I am glad you change the meters into feet. They tried to change us over to the metric system in the early 70's I think. It didn't work out as you can see.

I guess we though we were getting cheated when they tried the imperial gal/ltrs on us with the gasoline at the stations back then.

Us Americans like the oz/lb/gal/in/feet and so one. That is why we like our Independence!! Now if we can just get the politicians to understand that, we would be okay, but they insist on making the Good Ole U.S. of A. into a third world nation.

IF the U.S. goes down, everyone else will follow. It's the domino effect.

I believe AkirA is 3 hrs behind the east coast. It would be 12:49 am there time.

Temps just hit 32* Winds still howling here. p33

Another chilly 10* morning here in WV with cloudy skies, calm winds.

Seems like we are finally getting out of the freeze during the day for the next 5 days, with temps to reaching in the mid 40's with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Two exceptions be tomorrow with Rain/ Snow/ Wind, and Monday being just plain old cloudy with a high of 51*

Keep warm and have a nice day!
