My birds were actually enjoying the rain I think. Nobody ran for cover. IT just started POURING again... Sounds like I'm in a tin box right now!!
Satellite went off due to the rain...  s176

Is that for the TV or Internet?

I have Direct TV and it really has to pour for the signal to go out, on the other hand,  the Hughes Internet seems to go to  s53 when ever there is any atmospheric disturbance s80

Good Morning TQP Folk  :?:

We'll that the UK summer nearly over, the days are getting shorter ..... unfortunately it (summer) & the sun didn't bother coming to my little corner of Scotland, but hey the rain found us

Hi there Suz658,

Nice to see ya stopped by. I hope all is well on your end.

The weather here in our area of WV hasn't been to bad, except for the recient rain fall we are getting. Temps have dropped down to the mid 80's during the day and staying around 55-60 overnight with early morning fog.

Leaves are falling off of the trees due to the lack of rain fall, Even though we are getting some rain now.

Sooooooooo suz, don't be a stranger, stop by more often j2

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT SUNDAY. A LAKE WIND
ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING.

HURRICANE IKE MADE LANDFALL EARLY THIS MORNING NEAR GALVESTON TEXAS.
IKE IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWARD ACROSS EAST TEXAS TODAY AND SLOWLY
WEAKEN. HOWEVER...SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE ACROSS
THE AREA TODAY AS THE VERY LARGE CIRCULATION AROUND HURRICANE IKE
DRAWS CLOSER. WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL BECOME COMMON WITH GUSTS
NEAR 40 MPH TODAY. THESE WINDS SHOULD CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING HOURS.
ANY RAIN BANDS ASSOCIATED WITH IKE THAT MOVE ACROSS THE AREA COULD
PRODUCE HIGHER GUSTS AS WELL.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 25 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.

WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MILES PER HOUR OCCASIONALLY BRING DOWN
LARGE LIMBS AND ROTTED TREES CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY AND PROPERTY
DAMAGE. EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN OUTDOORS DURING THESE STRONG WINDS.

It is all copy and paste with using the [img] [/img] in all lower case type.
Just go to the weather map and right click the mouse, ang go down to the properties list. Click properties and the properties window will appear. Right click again over the URL ADDRESS and copy.

Then go to your post and place it in between IMG tags. if you use the

[url] [/url] instead of the IMG you will be making a hot link to that location.

Try it j2 it is still to early for you to go out j41

After weeks of temps in teh 50s and 40s I went out this morning and it was WARM !!

Just a bit over 70, couldnt believe it. Just took the pup out again and it started to rain but over 65 right now, we've had daily highs lower then that.

The weather map shows rain coming up the Mississippi Valley all the way up to us and then east.
