We currently vaccinate all our birds chickens thru quail. My question is what kind of other vaccination programs do you all run on quail and your pheasant?
this is a schedule that we have been following for a while now. UE and Quailpox is the main thing we vaccinate for.

this is a great web site we use from time to time and discuses more about a quail program.

I have the WV Dept of Ag. come every 3 months and test for AI & Pullorum. To get the AI and N.P.I.P. certificate, they have to do blood on ¾’s of my flock. As it is they swab only 30 birds. The state received a grant so they do this for free. When I first started back on 01, you couldn’t get any state agency to the testing.

Now if I have a problem of my birds dieing, I just call and the WV Dept of Ag. Animal testing will take sample and let me know what is happening and what to give then.

In Texas we are NPIP certified and AI certified but they only test once a year. I was wondering though if anyone else had a vaccanation program in place for prevention.

No, I don't. To much meds are not a good thing. They tend to build up a tolerance.

time to eat.
