I am having a problem with my week old Bobwhites, their butts look like they are impacted. I have tried doing a search for pasty butt, however I could not find any information. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

All new chicks I get I always keep an eye on their butts. Some will get this & I use a Q-tip & warm water to clean any of it off. When it drys it can stop-up their pooper & that will kill them if not kept clean.
If all have this you may have another issue. ie: feed you are using.

Yea Im not too keen on health issues but I do the same. Clean their butts. I've noticed...it could be due to contamination of the food or water from the droppings.

I hate all snakes unless they are in their aquarium. Outside it and they are fair game for the shovel.

I use a Walther PPK/S 380 or 1911a1 in 45cal. Archeologists a thousand years from now will dig up a snake with some lead from under 45 feet of soil & have new theories on evolution !

I would shot my toe off, holes all in my pens and when I ran out of bullets and a few dead birds the snake would have died from luaghter.
