Title: Colony vs small group fertility
Post by: originalryan on February 08, 2009, 07:48:49 PM
Searched around on the forums here, cant find information on which type of Coturnix quail grouping produces more eggs and more fertile eggs.  Colony or small groups (1.3 or 1.4)  Thanks for any info.

This is true. Also by staying clear of colony raising you can keep better track of which female or females are not fertile

i was trying to think of a way just to keep up with the age of birds in a colony, seemed like a mess.  guess you would have to leg band.

Thanks
