Now that the board has been totally deluged, are these eggs from NPIP birds, and what is your location?  You don't have that in your profile.

Yea. I think one thread is sufficient.

Spamming the whole forum is rather abusing the free advertise rule.

I missed the initial posts,

can you repost ? Seriously.

What size do your jumbos mature at ?

I'm looking for a strain that can make 16 oz.

Yes, am interested, when will your Georgia Giants be ready in the spring ?  I am thinking of first part of april here in northern Michigan.

Right now got a strong wind and snow coming down on a foot of it.

Happy Holidays,

Hello, Wadley Quail farm is a great place to get eggs and birds. George has great service and has went out of the way to get eggs and birds out in a quick matter. TL

 Jake..

I wouldn't worry to much about the snow and cold. I'm in North West Wisconsin. Rice Lake area if you want to look at a map and compare location.  I had 17 of the wadley geogia giants hatch this morning. December 23rd.  I have alot more "piping". They are in an unheated garage in a 16 foot by 4 foot "brooder".  I insulated the pen with 1" pink styrofoam (R5) and have 3 250 watt heat lamps in it.  Floor temp ranges from 104 deg to 80 degrees.
The Georgia  Giants from Mr. Meadows  (Wadley Quail Farm) Are running around doing GREAT!  The standard northern bobwhites I have in the with them haven't crawled out from under the heat lamp yet.
The Georgia Giants are a considerably larger chick and more active at hatch.

I will definately be ordering more in the spring when the weather warms up.

  Thanks,
             Jerome

Hi Jerome
Yes I am familiar with your area, a few years ago I use to dogsled up north of there a bit. Its a great place to live, I think your weather is close to ours , close enough anyhow that if you got chicks coming now they got to be tough.  My standard males arnt even singing sweet nothings to the girls yet.  In fact I get a bigger welcome when I go out there.

It sounds like the Giants have something going for them with a bit more body size and warmth.  I havent tried either the Jumbos or the Giants yet. You make the Giants sound pretty good for here also.

Thanks.

  Hi Jake..
7:00 P.M. here.. Just got back in the house from checking on this mornings new borns.  They are dry and fluffed and up after about 4 hours in the make shift brooder.  The day old Georgia Giants I ordered from Wadley are about the same size as the week old standards that I have been raising. They seem to take the cold alot better also.  I've been told the Giants will mature to small chuckar size.
Right now they are coveyed in the middle of 2 heat lamps with about an 80 degree floor temp.  15 degrees outside.  They ate the flood I gave them when I put them in so all looks real possitive so far.
This is my first order from Wadley Quail Farm.  Between the very generous egg count and the hatch rate I would highly recommend him. I have a total of 22 out of 100 hatched now.( 2 days early) and another 14 looking like tomorrow.
They are very active compaired to what I have so I asume this a good thing!
Hope my babbling helps with any decisions.

  Thanks,
            Jerome

They are sounding good to me, the key will be how soon that they fly, and how well.
