Does anyone know if you can legally catch baby wood ducks or eggs and raise them?  If so do you have to have a special permit or license or such to be able to raise them? I live in East Texas and have seen babies but didn't know if I could legally catch them, but I would like to bring some home to raise.

you need a federal permit to raise or buy them but you cannot take them from the wild even with the permit   do a search there was a post on this same subject last year
