I went to my flight pen today to find an OWL inside! I was there to gather cock-birds to release for an after noon hunt. Instead I foung an owl. a 14 inch tall, raptor with claws and a big sharp beak. Damn! I had my net with me so I let it go and looked for openings. I never found one. But I had three birds hung by thier peepers in the netting. Damn I want to shoot these bastards. But. I believe the law says no.   |

Owl? No holes?  I had a squirrel in mine once, that was a treat getting that thing out of there without any escaping birds. That squirrel couldn't hardly walk, was bleeding from slamming itself into sides of pen. I'm sure it had a concussion.  It never returned.  |

Went back to feed and water birds today only to find a Redtail Hawk sitting on top of my pen. It flew off before I could get close. ( Shhh, I had the 20 ga. with 3inch mags w/ #4 steel.)   Right on Ode! |
