Hello all.  I just hatched out a few butler bobs and am about to move them to the brooder.  I was gonna add BMD to their water as a preventative but I have a few questions.  1)  Is this even a good idea?  2)  I read on this board that Purina Startena has BMD in it but I can't find it on the label.  Is this true? 3)  How much BMD should I mix in each quart?  I don't have a scale.

Thanks,

Stuart

Purina Gamebird starter is available medicated as well as unmedicated.  You have to specify when ordering unless you are buying from a middle person that only stocks one of the two, unless they will order it special for you.

If memory serves...
Medicated is product # 5400
Unmedicated is product #5419

thanks B/B.   I've got 5419 and I can't find medicated mentioned anywhere on the tag so I am gonna assume it is not medicated.  Does anyone think that it is a good idea to medicate the water as a preventative or should I wait till I have a problem?

Thanks.

Here's a pic of the tag from a bag of medicated.
