Has anybody used this new feed from Purina? I'm curious what the group thinks about it. It would be nice to have a catch all feed that can be fed year round. Its approved for pheasants but not quail, does that mean its ok for quail but not officially approved?

Medicated Gamebird Chow Available:  Purina was the first to introduce a medicated line of pheasant feeds.  The product is medicated with 0.0175% Amprolium to be fed continuously as a sole ration.  This level is 40% higher than levels used for turkey rations.

If you read farther down, you'll see they have different levels of protein for different stages of the birds life. As it should be.

Unless you are geared up as a production farm, the medicated feeds should be avoided. The meds are only at amounts to help prevent an outbreak. Not keep it away completely.
When feeding a medication at all times, year round, you end up helping a disease build up an immunity to the drugs used. Then when an out break does occur, you have a real fight on your hands to get it under control.
But, it is up to the individual, if they want to feed in this manner.

Not sure of what they mean ? It would be best to contact them and ask them to explain it more ?
