I have some Bobwhite Quail hens that are laying very well but I am getting several soft shell eggs every day. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and a remedy. Thanks..

After I finish hatching I take all the shells and grind them into a powder and feed them back to my laying hens. I think this works better then oyster shell.

2 things to try-Start by adding some Citric acid to your water to Change the P.H. level. You can also add vinager, but you what a midly acidic water base. This helps the birds out a small bit. Try this stuff also. Its cheap, and it works good.
