Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these?  Are these similar to a 'broiler' in the chicken world?  Are they genetically engineered to get big fast and then die of sheer weight/heart attacks because of their size?

Reason I ask - next year we're going to raise some heritage turkeys.  They grow at a more natural pace and lots of people say they are much tastier than the fast growing turkeys like what you get in the store.  I'm wondering if the same principle applies to the Dark Range.
