Well, we incubated eggs from our quail, not really expecting them to hatch. (They had been in the nest for a while) and so we didn't really care for them as well as we should have. (re...humidity...not filling the water trough during incubation much)
Today, 2 have pipped, and now one is out. Nope, both are out and another has started to pip.
What do I expect as far as these little ones in the next day, before I move them to the brooder?
This is our first hatch...the 2 that are out are flopping around and knocking the other eggs around. Is that normal or ok? They just got out about 15 minutes and 2 minutes ago respectively.
Also-the other eggs appeared fertile....but this is day 26. Should they be helped in some way? (I'm concerned about my letting it get too dry)Or, I guess really what I'm needed to know on this is, how long do I wait?
Any advise would be wonderful!
Thanks!

i leave mine in the incubator for 10 hours or until dry the to the brooder they go
MAKE SURE you have a chick water or put marbles in it or they will drowned
it will not hurt the eggs to be rooled around by the chicks
and i leave mine in there for 7 days after the hatch date

Thank you backcountry.
I did all those things. Whew!
We did end up loosing all 3 that hatched though.
They all seemed to have "issues", so hopefully we'll do better next time.
Thanks again!
