Got a letter today from Ohio Poultry Assoc.
changes comming up:
2nd Paragraph first page.
"We are expecting major program changes within the next eight months as we look at adopting a new avian influenza surveillance program."

2nd page:
Flocks must be pullorum typhoid tested annually

All shipments of chicks or eggs must be accompanied by a vs form 9-3.
The pink and blue copies of this form must be returned to the OPA office EVERY week.

The rest is same ole same ole.
Just thought I would let you know some changes are comming.

What is "a new avian influenza surveillance program"?

I don't know about that........................these days they would probably put more strict charges on you for raising a couple quail than they would if you were growing 100 acres of marijuana!!!!!!

Did NPIP get any input from bird people before implementing new rules?
It seems to me they should spend their time answering peoples phone calls and doing some educating. If they make things to tough, people will just sneak around the rules.
Rules should be easy to obey and not a financial burden/
