I got 3 dead quail, i think they died by the others stepping over them or pecking them. What should i do to stop them pecking at each other and walking on others?

are these day olds? How big is the area you have them in? For pecking use a red light or I saw where someone suggested putting a piece of bacon in with them. I think this was for older birds though. what kind of footing do they have. If you are using saw dust this should not be a problem. I have heard cabinet liners work good too.

well an easy way to stop them from pecking too much is to clip the top part of their beaks with nail clippers-the part that overhangs the lower beak can be trimmed like a fingernail.

day olds with older birds is not a good combination, unless of course its their mom...but usually day olds are kept in a seperate cage or brooder until they can stick it out on their own with larger quail.  crowding is also an issue.  packed birds have bad tempers.

hope you get the problem sorted out!
