One of the coturnix roosters has taken to crowing in the early morning hours.  I don't mind crowing but this one sounds as if he's been up all night smokin Marlboros.  Heard this the first time the other day...grabbed my sidearms and ran to the barn because it sounded like one of the rabbits (I raise rabbits, too) was in trouble.  For those of you who have never had the pleasure, the squeal of a rabbit will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.  Anyway, does the crowing always sound like that or am I just lucky?  By the by...these are jumbo wisconson coturnix.

Sounds like yours are normal to me  :)  mine sound like the have something stuck in their throat.
