First i want to thank you all for the information and let you know this is a great site.
Now I'm gonna tell you how i did it.
1st my dad let me buy a incubator and hatcher from this man in nacogdoches Texas, then after we set them up i joined this forum, the next step was to read and read and read because all the info you need is right here, unless your a MALL COP, then we got 42 Pharaoh quail eggs from a friend, and bought some on line.
i cleaned my incubator and hatcher them turned them on, set my incubator temp at 99.5- 100.0 and adjusted my humidity to 54-56%, warmed my eggs up to room temp about 85 then placed them in the incubator, 10 days later we candled them with a LED mag-lite and threw out 8 that were not fertile.
on day 15 we turned on the hatcher and got it adjusted temp 99.3 and humidity 66%, then two days later BAM just like clock work chicks 18 of them, then everything slowed down, after they dried we moved them to the brooder (temp 99.0 degrees), I could see where the ones still in the hatcher had pipped but no action, my dad turned up the humidity to 68-69% and lowed the temp to 98.5 6 hours later 9 more hatched after they dried we moved them to the brooder.
That left 7 unhatched the next morning we had 2 more that were OK, then we helped 3 more my dad said it was like they were just to lazy to peck out, the 2 we helped were crippled, so my dad said with every thing there is obligation he told me if i was gonna be a quail raiser that sometimes i had to do the ugly stuff to SO BAM no more crippled chicks and i threw the others out that hadn't hatched, but he said 29 out of 34 was not bad.
