Wow, those are really low prices. We can barely raise quail for some of those prices.

Rick (Dirt Willy) lives about 7minutes away, That's where I got my Manchurians, some of my Chukar, my White Male R.N. and my 1202 incubator (used). I also get my feed there $9.00 a hundred  lbs.
 Yup they're real birds and yup that's his pricing. He used to have Quail, sold out no money in them here! Mostly he sells meat birds that he raises and then ships out to be processed, he gets them back and stores them in large walkin freezers. He has a couple of different agents that then fill contracts for the frozen birds.
 His flight pens are 300' x 150' for the Pheasant, he has 5 of these pens. He also has smaller pens for his Turkey and Chukars. I paid $40.00 for my Manchurian trio, and $13.00 abird for my Chukar and White R.N.

 He also supplies some of his birds to Hunt clubs and for Dog Trials, Birds are just not a big $ income here. He also has his Lynx and still works a day job.

 I think he told me he just got a cataloge from you Steve.

About Par or a little less then the U.S. dollar, it has been changing daily, but for most parts, they are very close.

Well then your feed is pretty cheap up there.

That would come to $180 a ton. Is that for maintanence?

The stuff I get from Rick is, it it mixed Wheat, Canola, Oats and some Millet. However the extruded stuff from the mills (Turkey starter/grower) is anywhere from $12.50 to a high of $13.50 for 50#s
The metric equivalent of a Ton is 2200lbs., not 2000. But yes it is a maintenance feed and very well rounded for protein and essential oils.

How may people that replied to this post checked out the helpful literature section? Any Comments on Dirt (Rick's) helpful literature sections?

Rick's info was all printed and put in a binder prior to starting with my first birds (which came from Rick) the Jumbo Manchurians. You can't believe the intensity of the 12volt candler with the 1056 or 1157 bulb, (pig tails are available at most auto parts stores), and it's easy to build, carboard tube, tape and a couple of battery clamps!
