do you have to have a permit to raise bobwhite quail in missouri and if so how and where can you get it

hey
yes you do - if they are northerns - no if the are mutations such as whites, Tennessee reds -Wisconsin's, Georgia giants, butlers, cunninghams, Mexican speckled, orange, tuxedo
just call your local conservation department and get the paperwork and an agent will come out and inspect your facility and if it meets the criteria they will sign the form.....

There was a time when some folks took the position that Georgia Giants were exempt. Same with T.R. Chukar were exempt, until a couple of years ago (due to poor wording). Any of the Bobwhites are included in the Conservation Department's jurisdiction.

For $50, you can get a permit to hatch, raise, buy, and sell any game bird you can find. List everything you

want to raise on your application. That way, you won't have to file an amended application, and wait for another inspection.
