If ya typing to me on that question, yes I had seen it. Whose is it?
Steve

Also to add........... Why is that barn place so far off the road? I actually though it was an old 1700-1800 home.
I usually see old barns located right off of the road.

My remark was dirrected at birdsqueazer, but you'll do. It's my neighbors place, how would you like to farm that hillside? Of course that's all there is around here, the guy who put the hay up there this year, done it with a tricycle front end tractor!! Has more nerve than me, or just plain stupid? I can't hardly keep my ATV from rolling over on that place. It was a dairy farm many years ago, it is quite a site to see, we get alot of sunday site see'ers out here drivin the country roads. There's a freshly restored covered bridge just a couple miles past my place, I'll have to get a pic of that for ya. I can see the power plants (smoke stacks/steam) along the Ohio River (Belpre/Pomery/Gallipolis) from here too.
I would say that back in the day, there was a road close to that barn. There are alot of long ago abandon road beds in woods around here. Most of which are full of trees and washed out.
-
Charlie a friend of mine goes around taking pictures of old barns and he ask the owners if he can have enough wood off of them to build a frame to put the picture in. Kinda neat. He will even give one to the owner..
-
What is a lost art now is the paintings on the side of the barns of the old Mail Pouch chewing tobacco.

Yes Kansas has trees.

And blue skies. This one is for folks who think Brittanys are a close working old mans dog.

Nice pictures wildergamebirds, but those trees look more like shrubs.
How about some fall picture of your home state?

Those are actually 30-50 [Foot Tall] mature trees. They are growing along the edge of a draw. Bison and fires pretty much keep trees off the hills.
I think my home state is ColoradoKansasMissouri. I'll be back to current home in Mo. sometime this week. The leaves are juststaring to turn, hopefully it's not too dry this year. Late frost in a dry year gives us yellow-brown leaves, mutes the bright yellow and orange.

Those are nice. s47 I've counted over 40 of them, looking in one direction (pheasant hollows direction), on my way home in the mornings. Amazing. The clearest skies I ever saw was Sept. 11-13th, 2001.

That's what I used to think, even though I had a few, years ago.
That actually makes for some pretty interesting wagers.
The ones I have now will hunt at 30 Yards, too, if the cover and bird population warrants, but will check cover, where I'd rather not walk.
Maybe the hot pink arrows will help!

Here is one yesterday a 5pm at the pond right behind the house. Talk about a late birth.
I had a total of 10 deer here at that time. I was suprised to see a fawn this late in the season.

This ones off of the roof of front of my house. All these oaks and hickorys makes for a nice bunch of leaves to deal with all winter, plugging up gutters, etc.
-
About 3 times this much and I'll be set for the winter. Are you all done Pheasant Hollow? ^-^
-
Now to get some youngin's to run it through the splitter. :-| They like me alot!

No s176 I haven't had the chance to get the last 4 cords in. I usually have all my wood, cut split, and stacked by July 1st. Oh well I guess I am getting lazy in my old age s47

I use a leaf blower on the roof to get the leaves and especially the black walnuts out of the gutters.

I had a friend of mine ( and I do have 1 ) give me a wood splitter a couple of weeks ago. It was in some tall grass behind his house and had not been used for several years. I had bought a ATV trailer from him when I discovered it behind the trailer. Ask him did he want to sell it and he said that I could have it, so I took it to another friend ( ah another one ) that works on small engines and he fixed it and it works great.

I can't seem to find any friends like that. All my friends squeak when they walk. i9

My Father and I built that log splitter when I was in highschool, so it's about 26 years old. The axle is a straight front axle from a 2-wheel drive Willy's Jeep. It will cut logs sideways.

That's what I use also, those are some handy devices there......remember how it used to have to be done? :-o s16

Nope, just one, the rest where turkeys. They where real easy to see, it was lightly raining so camera did not do a good job.
I can't seem to find any friends like that. All my friends squeak when they walk.
No mystery there.

Is that a 8N or 9N I have had both...just sold a John Deere 4320 a couple years back..
-
800 Series (860), about a 1958 with close to 50HP. Real good tractor, I would rather run it than the much newer Kabota, the Kabota (4wd, Noisy Diesel) has more of a safety factor going for it on these hills though. Flat or fairly level ground, the Ford is more soothing to the mind. (Gasoline)
I grew up running a tricycle 3020 and a wide 4030. I'd like to have a 4wd Ford 4000-4610. A real Ford, not a New Holland.

OK closer look I can see the difference in the hood..

Canada and England. Most all (old) anvils came from England too.
