Hello from a new member.  I am looking for some information on housing my bobwhite quail.  I eventually want to breed them but also want them to have a good flight area.  I am planning to raise them and release them on my land for our own pleasure, not for hunting.

Predaters are real bad where we live so the housing must be strong. Can anyone give me some tips?  I am looking at ready made and also would like to see plans for building.

Thanks,
coldwetnoz

Howdy and Welcome!

Though live feedback is always nice and at the risk of coming across like a stick in the mud  I thought I'd mention it anyway.. it seems those that frequent the forum are some what busy and may not have time to answer such a question in detail. besides this, perhaps more questions will follow.. That being said may I suggest a search here on the forum until... May I also suggest the  - Build It Yourself - section, it's a good place to start..

Be back later...

Thank you.  After I posted, I looked around. (should have done that first!) and discovered that thread.  I'm going to check it out.  I need housing advice quick.  Some creepy critter broke in my cage with 75 bobwhite half growns and slaughtered them.  All but 7 who came walking back singing later that day.  Now I have to start over with a stronger cage/flight and my 7 quail.
