How old are they when they start getting "real" feathers.  I think Horton will be a week old on Monday.

Hungarian are lovely little birds.

I'm surprised how the chicks are looking like Black-backed gull chicks... Enjoy it!

Horton is getting bigger every day!  And boy is he attached to me.  I took him outside for the first time this afternoon to take some pictures but I couldn't get far enough away.  Had to go get the small lense.
Steve!  If he is a road runner, it would be the first documented one in Montana!!!! s020 s020 s020
Here are a couple of pictures from today.

Hi Frank!
It sure is fun to have a "free" hungarian chick.  We are having a heat wave here today (95 degrees outside and 110 in the house), the only person that is enjoying it at all is Horton s020
He is running around his little tupperware box and eating like crazy.  He sure is cute!
I wish my husband felt the way you do about Horton.  He thinks he's cute but told me I was going to have to let him go and be free   s176 That's going to be hard to do when he is so imprinted on me.  I guess we'll see what happens s80

That actually sounds pretty good.  If I get him all grown up, will you keep him safe and sound for me?  I'll ship him to you or you can make a trip to Montana s020  That way, you can keep me posted on how s/he is doing!! j41

Well, that was a joke, but if you are able to get the papers to ship it to Canada, sure!!! But I seriously don't think it will be possible.
