In Texas

Since it is kind of slow I thought I would introduce myself here.
My name is Bob Choate and I live in the Blue Texas area. I started raising quail and pheasnts on my own in 1978 but quit about 12 years ago when I moved to Blue.
I have started back with quail and pheasants now that I have my new place in some sort of order ( Barns and fences).
I am starting back slow with a few Blue Scaled and Gambles but will try to add some Mountain and maybe some Bensons quail this fall if I get the pens built in time.
While I am like most everybody and can't resist hatching, these are just for enjoyment. I hope to set up mixed avaries with quail, pheasants and doves. I am not a waterfowl kind of guy, but my wife may have something to say about that. I have recently added Temminick Tragopans and Grey Peacock Pheasants.
I also raise and show Game bantams ( sorry to the guy who hates chickens) but I am slowly cutting back on them to make time for the Quail and Pheasants. I would hope to upload some pictures as I am here, since we all like to look at pictures, in hopes of comments.
