I'm new to breeding pheasant and want to know what I should feed my pheasant when it's time to breed?  I have three roosters and four hens.  The extra roosters are because they got away and returned and I didn't have the heart to shoot them at that point!  Also, what incubator would any of you recommend?  Thanks for your suggestions!

Hey G, and  s016! I hope you have the Roosters separated, and with hens. I use a "layer" feed that you would use for chickens. You can find it at any farm supply store. Also, I use the GQF Hova-bator with the egg turner. They work for me. If you want  to go big get a 1502 Sportsman incubator. Anyway, good luck, Ghost.

Welcome!!!! Each breeder has his own feed preferences myself I like to use a Gamebird breeder feed it is a little more expensive than the chicken laying pellets but it has a bit more protine that I like for my breeders. Any incubator will work as long as it will hold the correct temp for the entire incubation period.
