Well, well !
Seems my "luck" holds up for another couple deals !
Got me a free alternator for the S-10 !

I went to a couple tire dealers for prices on new tires for my F-350. Was told it would cost $1500.00 to $1800.00 for the tires, not including installation etc.

Had to go to a local Ford dealer today and had 4 set on hold for........$50.00 ! (each) Take offs from a brand new truck, about 23 (or was it 32) km on the tires.

Chuck, just thought you would want to know about this  s020

Reeves,

Actually the best deal was the alternator.

:-o   $1500-$1800!!??  That's more than the truck is worth!   ^-^

Wow, I put some of the most expensive tires on my truck last year that I had ever bought in my life....about $900. Bridgestone REVOS, Load Range E (10 ply).   Sounds as though you got quite a bargain.

The "deal" on the tires are factory tires. Many think they are no good. But I have been touring local fields after Coyotes (at least till the last storm) with no problem.

Neighbor up the road bought a new Dodge diesel a week ago. He couldn't get out his lane way. I offered to break trail for him (with my very worn tires)  s020
That morning I had diven 2.5 hours north through some "interesting" conditions ! (one way)

Steve....at 50 bucks they are very nearly free ! I just put new ones on the wife's car, a Suziki (sp?) Swift (tiny car) and paid $4.00 more per tire ! ($54.00 mounted/balanced/each)

:D  Some people can't drive a wheel barrow.

If it was a Toyota, you two could have picked it up and threw it in the glovebox and packed it out for him.   ^-^
