if i had the space/ money i would love to do that with state. it would be nice if they gave you the feed to..

it would be nice if they gave you anything.you use your pens, your water,your feed,your time,and then you have to give them back.if they get sick they don't even pay the vet bill to figure out what is wrong with them.this is something for scout troops to do.sometype of a project they can accomplish.but for me to tie up brooder and pen space and then to feed them not worth it and i have the space.

NYS DEC has a similar program to PA.  The state just hands out the dayold chicks. When they are adults you have to release them on open public hunting lands. You can't keep any birds for your personal use what-so-ever.
