How are the water things in the less mess feeders?  how did ya'll duplicate it?
It looks like the feeder has the little openings of my fench/regulare bird feeder from walmart( it has interchangable feeding slots) only they are metal.  I'm wondering if I can just use the regulare feeder parts to make a less mess feeder.  any idea's?  Crystal

Yep, the "feed slots" will work.

 And for the water:

......an 1/8" NPT pipe Tap has always worked for me since it is plastic into plastic. I'm not sure what the actual thread size is on the water nipples, it is very close to 1/8" NPT (National Pipe Thread).  Works for me!
