I am building a 9x3 quail cage. It is totally enclosed with wire for 6 feet and the other 3 feet are plywood. Should I build it with a wire floor entirely or just the 6 foot section and put a plywood floor in the box area?

I would do wire so it would stay clean. Quail don't watch where they poo and don't mind stepping in it either. You also want to be sure to make all of it accesible to remove eggs as they appear. A lot of your wire comes in 2' width and you can easliy reach across it through an access door. Also makes a sheet of plywood more efficient since it comes in 4' widths (cut it in half). Just a suggestion.
