My 2 Valleys are laying steadly now. Around 2 every other day and 1 in between sometimes.

I butchered my Quintet of Jumbo Bobs.(3 females, 2males) I suspected they been eatting there eggs. Never seen an egg, never gave them a fair trial.. but they had suspicious faces. lol

We have been getting about 40 eggs a day since April 15th. Just had our first hatch (started Sunday May 7th) out of the first 100 eggs, we candled 87 and out of those 87, 68 have hatched, there are still eggs in the incubator and they are pipping. I am sorry to say, I bought 10 Blue Scale Quail eggs off of e-bay and none of them have hatched, so...

We did have the bob's on 24 hour light for about 7 days and that did great wonders for their egg production. We have cut back on the light now since it is staying light later. We also fixed our incubator, so that might have something to do with the hatch success. Also our birds are young we butchered the 3 year olds this winter and just kept the young birds.

A side note, we raise Californian Rabbits, and they have been quite prolific this year as well, I have one doe who just had 7 babies and the other doe had 5, I have 2 more due this month.

So far it has been a good year. Good luck to all
