I have bobs that will start laying this month know can you eat their eggs? When is a good time to butcher the bobs. The courturnx what is best egg layer for eating and what is the best for meat? Does the courturnx have a jumbo in their strains thats good for eating? Thanks for any help I need to know this cause Im trying to get ready for spring

Yes you can the eggs high in protein...There are Jumbo Brown Coutnix strain..many breeders have them.. i butcher my bob at about 16 weeks..

Hi koboa, I understand that the Texas A & M whites are very good for eating, as they are called the white meat quail. I only have 3 of them that I hatched last month amongst a batch of Brown coturnix eggs, so I will not be eating them, but hatching their eggs, and then eating the quail when I get a goodly number of them.
