Could this condition be caused during the hatch, or maybe developed after? I hatched bobwhites in the incubator. It has 1/4 in. hardware cloth for the floor. When I moved the chicks to the brooder I noticed 2 with sprayed legs. All the other guys seem healthy. Thanks

I have this happen occasionally, and find it helps to put down a fairly thick row of paper towels or other similar type material in the brooder until the legs gain enough strength.  If possible you might put a piece of 1/4" hardware cloth in the brooder.  There are other posts in the forum for this issue as well.  Best of luck.

I cull all of mine that have this problem, I found that they usually end up kicking the bucket anyway. If put in the cage with others they'll be fair game and "let the picking begin"!......there legs look like nice worms sticking out like that!
