hi i was wondering if i could bring in a dozen quail from outside in my pen and put them in a breeding pen inside. would they still produce eggs if i give them enough light?

I believe 14 hrs. or more of artificial light will get those birds laying for you!

Hey Andy:

I have 24 Texas A & M's laying inside in a shed right now. I have them on 17 hours light and keep the tempature above 60 degrees. It took about 2 weeks for them to start laying. After they started I get about an egg a day from each one.

you also need to raise the protein in there feed. around 26-28%.
