Valley Quail Laying

So as most of you know. I don't usually do my own eggs. Birds are sold off before they start laying. And I buy all my eggs from Lake Cumberland or elsewhere.
My last years Valley Quail are being kept in by brooder house, (for space reasons), so pretty warm in there and lights are on. So I go out this morning to feed and there are 6 eggs on the bottom of the cage. There are a dozen Valley there (half male and half female) and I was thinking about keeping them back as breeders, but had no idea they would start laying this early in the year.
Will probably dump the first eggs, but I guess I will start incubating them as they are laid. Just something exciting for me, thought I would share with you all.
Pre-ordered my Valley eggs already from Lake Cumberland, so you never know. I could be in the breeding business by next year. lol
