Plastic Egg Cartons

I have a question.

How do you seal the Plastic Quail Egg Cartons?

I have two types, one holes 10 eggs and the other holds 24 eggs. The big has snaps, but they don't hold that well. the small one does have anything. I buoght them from Cutler's supply, Item # 0290 and 0253.

I've tried tape. It worked fine until the next morning. The cold in the refergetor made the tape let go.

I've a dab of super glue. It stuck my fingers to the carton, but it wouldn't stick the two sides of the carton together.

I have an asian food market that wants to purchase my eggs. I want them to look good and not come open.

Try a dab of wood glue, or just use a rubberband around the carton.

A coulple of more things we tried that seem to be working better.

I found a clip staple gun and stapled the edges shut. This hold great, but it may be hard for the customer to get the carton open.

My wife printed me some 2" x 4" labels to put on the cartons, I placed the lables so that I could wrap them around and seal the carton. The customer could take a knife and slice the label and the carton would come open. The labels are stickier that scotch tape. I've placed a couple of cartons sealed this way in the refregerator to see if they let go when they get cold.

I use similar cartons over here, i found rubberbands the best

I though I had the problem solved with the 2" x 4" lables, but on my last trip to the store the manager told me two of my cartons had came open. I gave him two free cartons to replace them.

Another thing you can try, is using a hot glue gun that they do crafts with.

What kind of  quail eggs are you selling and how many do they buy at a time?
how often do they purchase and what price are you getting?
just curious as I too have local asian markets but haven't approached them about eggs yet.
