too soon to stop rotating?

My Bobwhites are on day 20 of incubation and from what I understand I should now stop rotating them and raise the humidity. I just candled them and they appeat to be like "Day 14" from the following
http://elibrary.unm.edu/sora/Auk/v071n03/p0267-p0272.pdf
I did have a few cold nights where the incubator got down to 97 degrees early on. Should I wait another day or two to stop rotating or stop now and hope for the best?

nobody answered you, but if you are still around I'd like to know how it turned out. Did they hatch?

in my excitement I had overlooked the obvious, that the eggs failed on the 14th day or there about and stopped growing. I did open them to check after several days late and noticed the eggs were quite hard to crack and the membrane was quite tough. The question now is that due to humidity or just the fact the eggs were now in decomposition.
I am working on a home brew incubator and will be looking for more eggs in a month or so.

It was one of those small yellow ones with a light bulb. I had it in a remote location and wired it with a electronic thermometer. Also had it in a opened box to help keep temp fluctuations to a minimum. I kept the eggs in the "egg crate" and would tilt the box to rotate in all 4 directions at different time of the day. In all I think it was the snap cold spell that got them.
In all I think its not a bad little system for class or for your kids to learn.
The system I am working on is a bit bigger, well insulated and will have a home brew auto rotate. Will post in the appropriate section when I have it done.

I've heard many bad things about the little yellow spaceship incubators. Sounds like you've got a plan for a better one though. Be sure to post info./pics when you're finished. And
with the next hatch.
