A QUESTION:

What problems will I have with red junglefowl if they go to a ground level cage? Are there issues such with ground parasites such as chukars get?

Rasied Pheasants all my life, never had a problem.
Worm in the spring, then 10 days later.
Repeat in the  fall.
Each year.

There is a sticky Thread just above this one.  A rotation of 2-3 different wormers is preferred by growers in my area.  I use fenbendazole "Safeguard, Panacur brands), mostly.

Most people keep their junglefowl in ground pens and you probably won't have any major health issues if the ground is well drained and everything is kept clean. I put washed concrete sand in the pheasant pens and scrape the top off and replace with fresh sand every few weeks or so.
