Every time I clean the bottom of my little giant that I have been using for a hatcher and start using it right away after drying it the water seems to leak out the bottom. The water level goes down fast and there is water under the bottom and the humidity is high. But if I were to let it sit in the sun for a few hours and then start using it again it works just fine. what is going on here? this is a new bator and there are no holes or cracks in the styrofoam. I just can't figure it out.

I don't know what causes it, but I had the same experience.  I spent a few dollars and bought the old style hovabator bottoms.  They come with the plastic trays and not only make cleaning easier but they are deeper and keep the chicks from jumping ship every time I open it.  You do have to shave a little off the lid to make it fit, but to me it was worth it.
