Today I candled my Coturnix Quail eggs. I have 6 total and have been incubating them for 14 days now. #s 1-4 all look clear to me but its hard to see. They just look awefully bright compaired to the last two. #5 I thought I'd seen a blood ring early on but was hesitant to toss it and now its darker and #6 is dark, and I think if any will hatch it would be this one but I don't know. Does it sound promising? I don't know what to think. No oozing, no smell no nothing. Just eggs.

the more you open the incubator the less chance you will have a good hatch rate.

I was only opening to rotate and today I moved them to another incubator to add more humidity.

Next time, you might try adding a new (so it's sterile) wet sponge. Instead of moving them around incubators. Frequent temperature dips will decrease your success rate.

Hope you have a good hatch.

They were in with guinea eggs and I didn't want to increase humidity for all the eggs since the guinea aren't ready to hatch, that's why I moved them to their own incubator so they could have their own for higher humidity. Sorry I left all this out. ;)
