what do you use for your bobwhite quail hens to lay there eggs in?

THEY WILL IF HAVENT ALREADY JUST LAY THEM ON THE GROUND ALL OVER YOUR PEN OR MAYBE IN ONE OR TWO PLACES. PROBABLY WONT SIT ON OWN EGGS.

I put grass clippings and haygrass in the pen. The birds made a nest in the back corner of the enclosed part of the pen. They lay their eggs in the nest, but they won't lay on them. They will lay a clutch and then abandon the spot until you remove the eggs. You may try to use a dummy egg on a pile of grass and they will hopefully make that their nesting place. For a dummy egg just use an old quail egg or a rock shaped like an egg painted white.
